Profoundly, religious identity has been the most important identity. However in the Wheel of my identities, there are many aspects that determine me. Then there are the gender identity, the professional identity, the family identity and the hobby identity. What surprises me here is that we do not believe in class when it comes to socio-economic status. However, low income earners, high income earners or self-employed. The economic system also determines some aspects of socio-economic identity. As there can be more entrepreneurs within the society where self-employment being the motive. Many of us may fall into this category. At the same time, people do paid jobs in order to earn a little more possible amount of income that determines social status. Apart from which, my family has been a business oriented for several years. However, it is not surprising that everyone has multiple identities.
In conclusion, every individual has multiple identities and has to look them after while being a part of the society. In order to understand people, we need to look into their multiple identities that can possibly guide us better in dealing with them.
